France 3-0 Iraq: Mbappé Double Powers Les Bleus to Second Straight Win

France cruised to a 3-0 victory over Iraq in Philadelphia, with Kylian Mbappé scoring twice and Antoine Griezmann adding a third. Les Bleus now have six points from two matches.

France faced Iraq in their second Group I match at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. A brace from Kylian Mbappé and a goal from Antoine Griezmann secured a comfortable 3-0 win, giving Les Bleus six points from two games.

Mbappé opened the scoring in the 12th minute, tapping in a cross from Theo Hernández. Griezmann doubled the lead in the 38th minute with a low drive from the edge of the box.

In the 67th minute, Mbappé cut inside from the left and curled a shot into the far corner for his second goal. Iraq managed only two shots on target, neither troubling goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

France coach Didier Deschamps praised his team: 'We controlled the game from start to finish. Mbappé is in great form, but the defensive effort was also excellent.'

Iraq remain pointless and face an uphill battle to qualify. They will face Norway in their final group match, while France take on Senegal.

France are level on six points with Norway but sit second on goal difference. A draw against Senegal will be enough to secure a spot in the knockout stage.
