Group K and L Standings: Portugal Lead, England Stalemate

In Group K, Portugal top with six points, Colombia second. In Group L, England drew 0-0 with Ghana, while Croatia beat Panama to go top.

After the second round of group matches at the 2026 World Cup, the qualification picture in Groups K and L is becoming clearer.

Group K: Portugal thrashed Uzbekistan 5-0 to go top with six points and a goal difference of +7. Colombia beat DR Congo 1-0 to move to four points. DR Congo and Uzbekistan are on one point each, with slim hopes of advancing.

In the final round, Portugal face DR Congo and Colombia take on Uzbekistan. Portugal need only a point to secure top spot, while Colombia can seal second with a win.

Group L: England were held to a 0-0 draw by Ghana, leaving them on four points in second place. Croatia beat Panama 1-0 to go top on four points with a superior goal difference. Ghana have two points, Panama one.

The final matches see England vs Croatia in a top-of-the-table clash, while Ghana face Panama with both still in contention.

England dominated possession with 72% but could not break down Ghana's defense. Harry Kane and Phil Foden missed key chances.

Croatia's Budimir header proved decisive, showcasing their experienced game management. Luka Modrić continued to dictate the midfield tempo.
